First CareChildren and adults who experience urgent, but non-life threatening illness or injury can receive treatment in our First Care treatment area.
Located within the main Emergency Center, First Care offers convenient, efficient medical treatment for minor emergencies and illnesses, ranging from lacerations to sports injuries and the flu. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. seven days a week.
The center is staffed by a physician, registered nurses, medical assistants and registration clerks who provide the same high level of care the community expects from South Florida Baptist. The center also has a radiology suite to X-ray possible fractures.
If patients seeking treatment at First Care require a higher level of care than can be provided, they will be transferred to the main hospital Emergency Center.
