For Plant City residents facing a minor or major medical emergency, the Jim and Ruby Jean Redman Emergency Center provides an outstanding level of acute care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our modern, 36-bed Emergency Center (EC) can provide treatment for a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions and is one of the largest and most technologically advanced in eastern Hillsborough County. We are capable of handling up to 72,000 visits per year.
Our emergency center offers convenient, efficient medical treatment for minor or major emergencies and illnesses, ranging from lacerations, sports injuries and the flu to heart attack or stroke symptoms. Fast and friendly care is provided by physicians, registered nurses, medical assistants and registration clerks who provide the high level of care the community expects from South Florida Baptist.
The center has a radiology suite including X-ray, MRI, ultrasound and CT scanning to treat and diagnose possible fractures and other more serious neurological concerns.
If patients seeking treatment require a higher level of care, we immediately move patients into the appropriate hospital department for more intensive critical care or surgical needs. All services are on-site for the fastest and best patient care possible. Learn more about the capabilities and services provided by our intensive care unit.
Physicians and surgeons furnishing services include but are not limited to, radiologists, anesthesiologists, pathologists, and emergency room physicians. They are independent contractors for the patients and are not employees of the hospital. Care is administered by and/or under the supervision of the patient’s attending physician.
