Diamonds & Denim Gala
Put on your dressy denim and join guests at the popular Diamonds & Denim Gala, held the fourth Thursday evening in September at the Strawberry Festival Expo Hall.  Each year more than 500 people attend this benefit for South Florida Baptist Hospital community outreach programs.  Since its inception in 1997, Diamonds & Denim has raised more than $600,000 for the hospital. 
Guests enjoy live music, dancing, open seating and a catered dinner with six food stations.  There is also a chance to win a diamond ring donated by area jewelers and to participate in a 50/50 raffle and silent auction.  Tickets are $50 per person with advance reservations required. Donations for the silent auction are welcomed.  A committee of community volunteers plans and coordinates this premier event.

Fall Fancy
Enjoy a "ladies-only" social event and fundraiser in a beautiful private setting.  Highlights include a self-guided tour of a local home, a buffet lunch and unique gift items from a selection of boutique vendors.  Proceeds go to the pediatric department at South Florida Baptist Hospital.  Fall Fancy is held on a Saturday afternoon in early November, just in time for early holiday shopping.  Guests can "drop in" any time between 11 a.m. an 2 p.m.  Plant City High School students provide courtesy golf cart service from the parking area to the house. Tickets begin at $30 and advance reservations are required.

Lights of Love
The annual tree lighting ceremony at downtown McCall Park in Plant City marks the start of the holiday season.  A 24-foot live tree is adorned with lights "purchased" by individuals, families and businesses in honor or memory of friends and loved ones.  Proceeds benefit the pediatric department at South Florida Baptist Hospital.  The Foundation and the City of Plant City co-sponsor this traditional family event that is open to the community and free of charge. (No tickets are required). Enjoy holiday music by local choirs and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Lights begin at $15 each and must be purchased in advance to be listed in the printed program.  The event is usually held the first Thursday evening in December, depending on the date of the annual Plant City Christmas Parade.

Sponsorship of Foundation events such as Diamond & Denim, Fall Fancy and Lights of Love offer individuals and businesses the opportunity to participate at a higher level.  Sponsors receive the satisfaction of knowing their contribution supports important hospital programs and the benefit of public recognition for their generosity.  Sponsors receive event tickets (when needed) and are listed in the printed event program.
