Can you imagine a hospital dining experience where people dine on a regular basis because the food is that good?
At Twigs Café, we serve more than just our patients and visitors. Our café is popular for people outside of the community for the delicious, home-cooked food, nutritious menu and seasonal ingredients.
Culinary Institute of America Chef
Led by Chef Paul, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), the Twigs Café offers delicious, nutritious food for both patients and visitors. Chef Paul consults with the hospital's dieticians to ensure the food is appropriate for recuperating patients.
Further, he can accommodate many dietary considerations, including vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian and dairy-free, for those who are lactose intolerant.
Fresh, Seasonal Home Cooking
What makes the food so popular is the home cooking approach Chef Paul uses when creating his recipes—he and his team make everything from scratch. The menu is always changing—every month there are new choices and preparations. And the prices are very affordable—Chef Paul works to keep the prices moderate.
Inpatient: Made to Order
If you are staying in the hospital, you can order from the menu. We deliver food on a room service system—just like in a hotel. Therefore, if you have any special dietary needs, you can tell your nursing staff, or speak to someone at the Café. Also, all dietary needs are integrated within our Electronic Medical Record system, so if a food or ingredient is inappropriate for a patient, the system will flag it.
