"Cruising to a Cure" Event to Benefit Pediatric Cancer Research 09/30/2009 All aboard the Holland America cruise ship ms Ryndam to watch top culinary talents from Malio's, Restaurant BT and Bin 27 Bistro battle for the title of "Tampa Bay's Top Chef." During the event, three chefs will each have 15 minutes to prepare and present their signature dish to Tampa Bay area food critics inside the ms Ryndam’s state-of-the-art Culinary Institute. Resembling a set from the Food Network, the Culinary Institute features theatre style seating and an overhead camera to allow the audience to be part of the Chef’s every slice, dice and puree. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children's Cancer Research Group (CCRG), which helps fund childhood cancer research at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. St. Joseph's Children’s Hospital is the only community hospital in Florida, and one of a very few non-university hospitals in the United States, with a research laboratory dedicated exclusively to pediatric cancer research.
