Your child's physician will determine when he or she is able to leave the hospital. Physicians make their rounds in the morning, so discharge times are generally no later than 11 a.m. Your child's nurse will give discharge instructions and any prescriptions needed for recovery. Discharge time and instructions are personalized to each particular procedure and how well your child is recovering. Please note that prescriptions need to be filled at an outside pharmacy.
If you have questions or concerns about the discharge process, please speak with your nurse or social worker.
