Our pediatric oncology/hematology physician specialists are experts in their respective fields. The collaborative care your child receives from the many experts shown below helps us to administer exceptional care to your child:

Dana Obzut, MD  
Dana Obzut, MD, is Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.  She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology, magna cum laude, from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and her Doctor of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Obzut served her residency at Rush Presbyterian Medical Center - Rush Children's Hospital in Chicago and a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Obzut's clinical interests include leukemia/lymphoma, oncology supportive care and ambulatory hematology.

Hardeo Panchoosingh, MD  

Hardeo Panchoosingh, MD, is Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Dr. Panchoosingh is Medical Director of the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Program at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. 
His undergraduate studies were done at the University of Toronto in Canada and he earned his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and Advanced Diploma in Child Health at the University of the West Indies at Kingston, Jamaica. Dr. Panchoosingh completed a Pediatrics Residency and a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at Children's Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to his present position he was the Director of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Cardon's Children's Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology; and a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Histiocyte Society, and Society of Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Panchoosingh's clinical interests include neuro-oncology, brain tumors, histiocytic disorders, supportive care and benign hematology including coagulation disorders.

Chris Rossbach, MD

 Chris Rossbach, MD
Chris Rossbach, MD, is Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Hannover Medical University in Hannover, Germany and completed his residency and internship in Pediatrics at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Dr. Rossbach completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center through the University of Washington and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. Dr. Rossbach's clinical interests include rare disorders/ syndromes, bone marrow failure conditions and hemoglobinopathies.

Erin M. Cockrell, DO, is Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ohio State University in Columbus and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens. Dr. Cockrell served her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine/ Pediatrics at Akron General Medical Center and Akron Children’s Hospital. She completed a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at University Hospital Case Medical Center/Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. Dr. Cockrell’s experience includes serving the children at Akron Children’s Hospital as a physician in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology; as co-director of the Young Women’s Bleeding Disorder Clinic; and most recently as site director of Mahoning Hematology/ Oncology Services. She has also served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy, and as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric-Hematology/Oncology at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Cockrell’s clinical interests include bleeding and clotting disorders and adolescent and young adult oncology. She is a member of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society, American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network, Children’s Oncology Group, and American Society of Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology.
