Help St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Give Patients a Prom of their Very Own

Prom season is currently underway throughout the United States, and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is in need of formal attire and accessories to bring prom season inside the walls of the hospital.

Friday, May 3, dozens of current and former pediatric patients will dress up in fancy gowns and handsome tuxedo jackets as they take part in their own Arabian Nights-themed prom night held at the hospital. Made possible by Macy’s and Bank of America, the special evening will include a mix of music, dancing, refreshments, keepsake photos and memories that are sure to last a lifetime.

The hospital has a special need for the following items in new or “like new” condition:

  • Dress shirts for 4-12 year olds (no male adult shirts, please)
  • Ties
  • Dress pants in all sizes

  • Plus-size women’s dresses
  • Party dresses for 5-6 year olds

  • Dress attire for both boys and girls

  • Accessories of any type (tiaras, jewelry, ties, etc.)
  • Dress shoes in all sizes for both boys and girls

Clothing donations are currently being accepted and can be dropped off at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, located at 3001 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Tampa (look for the big, blue bin located inside the lobby).
