Tuan Pham, MD, PhD, FACS, FAAP (General Pediatric)
Dr. Tuan H. Pham holds bachelors degrees, magna cum laude, in biology and electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Irvine (UCI), where he also earned his Doctor of Medicine with honors. At the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, he completed a general surgery residency, and went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric general surgery at the British Columbia Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Pham holds a doctorate degree from UCI in electrical and computer engineering. Research for his dissertation was performed through the NIH Medical Scientist Program. Other research awards and fellowships included the Fulbright Fellowship to Lund Sweden and the Whitaker Biomedical Graduate Fellowship. Dr. Pham is board certified in pediatric surgery and general surgery, specializes in neonatal surgery and pediatric oncology, and has extensive experience in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a member of the American Pediatric Surgeons Association, SAGES, Optical Society of America and Engineering in Medicine and Biology. To lift the spirits of his tiny patients and their worried siblings, he used another skill he's acquired over the years: making balloon animals and hats. Dr. Pham is conversant in Vietnamese.
