Welcome to the St. Joseph's Hospital Department of Pharmacy. We strive to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. Our mission is to prevent, identify, and resolve drug-related problems to assure patient safety, increase patient satisfaction, and minimize cost.
We offer pharmacy residency programs in pharmacy practice (PGY1) and pediatric pharmacy (PGY2). We are dedicated to the development and training of pharmacy residents and our programs aspire to develop residents both clinically and professionally into quality practitioners. Further information about the rotations of this progam can be seen here.
The Pharmacy Practice Residency Program at St. Joseph's Hospital was established and accredited in 2001. It is designed to develop a strong foundation of pharmacotherapy, leadership, and operational skills. The program provides residents with experience and training in a multitude of areas, including acute care, drug information, therapeutic policy, and practice management.
As a valuable member of the health care team, the resident will take ownership of these practice areas and assume responsibility and accountability for safe and appropriate drug therapy.
