Develop staffing plan, monitors time and attendance and performs payroll functions; Act as a preceptor for new hires and facilitate department in-services; Monitors and maintains adequate supply levels; Participates in regulatory surveys; Maintain and updates department policies and procedures; Coordinates the collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing; Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens; referring specimens to outside laboratories; interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests; performance of phlebotomy procedures and performs other duties as assigned.
