IHC staining and equipment troubleshooting and maintenance. Assigns team members to meet daily work assignments and assists Manager as required. Description: The Histologist Lead is responsible for all phases of tissue processing from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques; performs specialized procedures; researches new techniques and instrumentation; assists lab manager with daily responsibilities; assigns staff to meet work assignments; assists in maintaining and revising policies and procedures; maintains files, records, and documentation required by state and federal licensing boards; cleans and maintains equipment and instruments; orders, stocks and maintains supplies and performs other duties as assigned.
