Cleft and Craniofacial Center

St. Joseph's Children's Craniofacial Center provides pediatric patients with a comprehensive, state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary approach to treating cleft or craniofacial anomalies. Pat Ricalde, M.D., D.D.S, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in pediatric craniofacial surgery, and is the Director of the St. Joseph's Children's Craniofacial Center. Other specialists that make up the Center's team include an audiologist, lactation consultant, geneticist, neurosurgeon, nurse, ophthalmologist, orthodontist, orthotist, otolaryngologist, pediatric dentist, pediatrician, prosthodontist, social worker and speech-language pathologist.

In a unique effort to minimize patients' visit time and anxiety, the complete team of specialists are present during patient exams, reducing the entire appointment time to approximately one hour. Family members are present during the treatment decision making process, and are encouraged to ask questions and be a “part of the team.”
