The dedicated electrophysiology laboratory at the Heart Institute is one of the most sophisticated facilities of its kind in Tampa. It offers the latest technology for treatment of a wide range of heart rhythm problems.

Services include:

• Pacemaker implantation, including biventricular pacemakers
• Implantable defibrillators
• Radiofrequency ablation to control atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm irregularities
• Cryoablation – our physicians were the first in the country to successfully treat atrial fibrillation with cryoablation, and the Heart Institute is the only center in Florida participating in the first clinical trial using an advanced catheter for this procedure
