Families always
come first at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital of Tampa. Adults are
encouraged to remain overnight with the child when possible. The
inpatient units feature rooms arranged in small clusters according to the
child's age with nighttime accommodations for parents. A family lounge offers
lockers, shower facilities and coffee around the clock, while a family resource
center has videos, literature and computer links for the latest information on
children's health.
Cancer & Blood Diseases: We are well known throughout the South East
United States as a referral center for children's cancer and blood diseases.
Children's Advocacy Center: A dedicated team of professionals take pride in the program's efforts to champion community efforts to support our children such as bike safety, car seat checks and much more.
Child Life Specialists: The Child Life Team at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is committed to helping children understand their illness and procedures in order to facilitate positive coping with hospitalization. The comprehensive therapeutic child life program offers four age-appropriate play rooms.
Craniofacial Center: St. Joseph's Children's Craniofacial Center provides pediatric patients with a comprehensive, state-of-the-art, interdisciplinary approach to treating head shape and craniofacial anomalies including Cleft lip/palate.
Emergency/Trauma Center: An emergency department visit can be pretty scary so St. Joseph's Children's Hospital custom-designed the Steinbrenner Emergency/Trauma Center for Children. The Trauma Center is a State-Approved Pediatric Trauma Referral Center.
Intensive Care Units: St. Joseph's Children's Hospital knows that the critically ill need specialized care including ground and air transport services around the clock. That's why we have several Intensive Care Units for children of all ages.

Motion Analysis Center: Children with neuromuscular problems have difficulty controlling their muscles. The Motion Analysis Center at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital uses advanced technology to evaluate muscle, joint and nerve problems.

part of the hospital's commitment to children. Rehabilitation therapy for
children from infancy through teens is provided in the hospital and at the
outpatient pediatric specialty clinics.
