Dr. Mike McIlwain grew up in Tampa, Florida. He went to the University of Maryland where he played soccer. Dr. McIlwain attended dental school and received his pediatric dental training at The University of Florida College of Dentistry. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Association, the Hillsborough County Dental Association and the American Orthodontic Society.
