Connie Ramos, MS, ARNP
Nurse
Practitioner
Connie Ramos completed her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University
of Alabama. She has always had an interest in cardiovascular disease and a
passion for understanding the heart. After spending five years at the
bedside of intensive care cardiac patients, she decided it was time to return to
school.
She completed her master's degree at the University of South Florida, with a focus on acute care patients. After spending three years working for five cardiac surgeons in New York City, she returned to Tampa. After taking care of patients with cardiac disease for almost 10 years, she felt strongly that the only way to decrease the mortality was to educate and focus on prevention. The opportunity to help launch the St. Joseph's Women's Hospital Women's Healthy Heart Center was the perfect fit for her desire to educate patients and prevent mortality.
