Lisa Andrew, BS, CCLS
Internship Coordinator

Lisa Andrew began working at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital of Tampa in 2003 as a Child Life Specialist after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Child & Family Development. Lisa completed her Child Life internship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.  She has been a member of the Child Life Council since 2003 and the Florida Association of Child Life Professionals since 2004. 

Lisa is the Internship Coordinator for the Child Life Department.  She strives to provide students with a competitive internship incorporating high standards, multi-faceted learning opportunities, and a supportive environment that encourages growth.  She thoroughly enjoys working with interns and helping them reach their full potential in the Child Life field.   

Lisa is also the Child Life Specialist for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Pediatric Center, an outpatient clinic serving children with special needs. She loves working closely with children and their families to provide developmental support and enable them to develop positive coping skills, both inside and outside of the hospital.

Lisa has developed a Hospital Orientation Program weekly for children and their families in order to help prepare and familiarize them with the hospital environment prior to surgery. If your child is scheduled for surgery, this program is a great learning opportunity for the entire family!
