The Pharmacy Practice Residency is a 12-month, ASHP-accredited program designed to provide residents with experience in a broad range of clinical areas. In addition to completing rotations in core subject areas essential to the pharmacy practitioner, participants in the residency program also select elective rotations that fit specific areas of interest.
Residents work with clinical pharmacists in a variety of specialties including hematology/oncology, critical care, surgery, nutritional support, infectious disease, women's health, internal medicine, pediatrics and therapeutic policy.
To ensure that our residents become well-rounded clinical pharmacists, residents develop and complete a major pharmacy project. This project is presented to St. Joseph's Hospital preceptors and at a regional residency conference.
