St. Joseph-s Women-s Hospital is happy to offer the Family Centered Delivery program to mothers who will have a baby born via cesarean section.

Specifically designed for babies born via cesarean section, our program gives families the opportunity to experience the special gift of immediate bonding after delivery.

In the Family Centered Delivery Model, baby and dad are taken to the OB Suite in our Recovery Room, where they wait to greet mom upon her arrival.* Early bonding begins and earlier initiation of breastfeeding can also be accomplished. At this time, the program is limited to babies delivered between 8am and 4pm, Monday-Friday.
