Varicose Veins Diagnosis and Treatments 03/19/2009 Join Thomas Kerr, M.D., Vascular Surgeon on Wednesday, April 15 at 6pm for a free lecture about varicose veins. Varicose veins develop when the tiny one-way valves inside the veins, which help move blood back to the heart, fail to close properly. This causes blood to flow backwards in the veins.
