Fourth Annual Heart-to-Heart Reunion for St. Joseph's Children's Hospital Patients 04/01/2009 A Heart Hero's Day to Shine Grateful parents and children to celebrate life and fellowship with other heart surgery families and caregivers. TAMPA – For some it-s been months. For others it-s been years. But all pediatric heart surgery patients at St. Joseph-s Children-s Hospital share one common bond over time: the gift of life that offers the chance of making their dreams come true someday. Young patients and their families will come together as one special group Saturday, April 11, 2009 to reunite and fellowship with other pediatric heart surgery families during the Fourth Annual Heart-to-Heart Reunion. Five-year-old Blake Wilson, born with just half a heart, has had three open-heart surgeries at St. Joseph-s Children-s Hospital. Although Blake is thriving now, his family spent months at the hospital during the past five years, and are looking forward to meeting other families who understand what they have been through. Tampa Bay Lightning Defenseman Paul Ranger and former Yankees player and current Yankees special instructor Tino Martinez are scheduled to appear, as well as the physicians and nurses who make every day possible for young boys and girls who undergo the complex, delicate, life-saving heart procedures performed routinely at St. Joseph-s Children-s Hospital. WHAT: Fourth Annual Heart-to-Heart Reunion for pediatric heart surgery patients WHERE: St. Joseph-s Hospital-s Medical Arts Building WHEN: Saturday, April 11, 2009 - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For detailed information about the event, please click here. |
