Beatlemania hit Tampa again as nearly 600 people enjoyed the performance of the ultimate Beatles tribute band the Fab Four at IMAGINE: the 16th Annual St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation's Stepping Out Gala, March 7, 2009. Held at the Hyatt Regency, Downtown Tampa, the elegant event was chaired by Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Plasencia and featured dinner, dancing and a high-energy musical performance that included three costume changes and note-for-note renditions of some of the most popular Beatles songs.

This year's presenting sponsor was Rooms To Go Children's Fund, and the Master of Ceremonies was Dick Crippen. The event raised approximately $200,000 to support St. Joseph-s Children-s Hospital, which provides more acute medical and surgical care to children than all other hospitals in Tampa Bay.

During the Gala, St. Joseph-s Hospital honored three Distinguished Physicians of Service, Michael Wasylik, M.D., St. Joseph-s Hospital; Joseph Levine, M.D., St. Joseph-s Women-s Hospital; and Earl Smith, M.D., St. Joseph-s Children-s Hospital. Baseball star and St. Joseph's Children's Hospital supporter Tino Martinez received this year-s Community Benefactor award.

Since its inception in 1994, the Gala has raised more than $2 million for a wide range of projects, including the construction of St. Joseph-s Children-s Hospital and a pediatric cardiac catheterization lab.
